Platform and Integration Data

Quantstruct provides an agentic documentation workflow platform. To enable our service, we process and store certain information related to your content sources, configurations, integrations, and generated documentation as outlined below. We act as a data processor on behalf of our customers for this data.

1. Customer Content Sources

When customers configure Quantstruct, they may connect various sources like code repositories (e.g., GitHub), knowledge bases, API specifications (e.g., OpenAPI files), or provide access to web dashboards. We access and process the content from these sources solely to detect changes, understand context, and generate relevant documentation updates. This content remains the property of the customer.

2. Configuration Data

We store configuration settings provided by the customer, such as brand guidelines, preferred writing style, specific instructions for the AI agents, workflow triggers, and approval settings (e.g., Slack notification channels, GitHub repository details for pull requests).

3. Integration Credentials

To connect with third-party services like GitHub and Slack as directed by the customer, we securely store necessary credentials, such as API keys, OAuth tokens, or app installation identifiers. These credentials are encrypted, accessible only to the Quantstruct systems that require them to operate the service, and used solely for the purposes configured by the customer (e.g., reading repository data, creating pull requests, sending Slack notifications). Credentials are deleted upon customer request or disconnection of the integration.

4. Generated Documentation and Workflow Data

We store the documentation drafts, changelogs, generated code examples, and potentially screenshots created by our AI agents as part of the workflow. We also store metadata about workflow executions, such as change detection events, validation results, approval statuses, and publishing actions. This data is used to provide the service, allow customers to review and manage updates, and potentially (with customer permission or on an aggregated, anonymized basis) to improve the underlying AI models specifically for documentation generation tasks.

We do not use customer-specific content sources or generated documentation to train general-purpose AI models shared across customers without explicit consent.

Use of Data

Quantstruct Inc. uses the collected data for various purposes:

Google Workspace API Usage

Our application does not use any data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized AI and/or ML models. All data is used solely to provide and enhance the specific services for which it was collected.

Retention of Data

We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.

We will retain Platform and Integration Data according to the terms of our agreement with you, or until you request its deletion or disconnect the relevant integrations or sources. Generated documentation and workflow data may be retained for service provision and improvement purposes as described above.

We will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Service, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Quantstruct Inc. will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
